Lincoln up for West Bridgford test
A 15-12 defeat at home to Bridgford in November started a run of eight losses in a row for the Red & Greens. But they returned to winning ways with victories over Grimsby and Sleaford, the bottom-two sides.
Now Lincoln captain Jim Calveley wants his side, who are fourth-bottom in the table, to make it three wins in a row by defeating a Bridgford, who are one place below them.
"Normally we tend to play better against the teams at the top and don't play so well against teams below us where we tend to get dragged into a scrap," he said.
"But we've beaten the bottom two in our last two games, although Bridgford have also beaten them recently, so it will be a good game.
"When we played Bridgford at our place the difference between the teams was that they wanted to win the game more.
"We don't want to let them do the double over us.
"West Bridgford were right at the bottom about a month ago but they seem to have turned it around in 2010."
Lincoln enjoyed a 51-29 victory in the derby against Sleaford on Saturday.
"We were very pleased to put over 50 points on the board, but we not so happy to concede 29," said Calveley.
"Our attacking play is good but we need to work our defence."
