Cliff Elsam of Donington achieved a double victory at the latest shoot of Haven CPC, New York.

Haven (pictured below) notched a perfect 45 points in the automatic ball trap contest to share High Gun with Brian Livingstone who also cleared the decks amid overcast weather which brightened up as the shoot progressed, writes Christine Slomkowska.

Elsam also headed the 30 English sporting round on a score of 27, equalled by Keith Money who shared the top prize.

Lee Bett had a runaway success in Fen Clay's 40 sporting, scoring 37 to lead the field by four points.

The shoot attracted a good turnout of club members who were rewarded with some interesting yet challenging targets.

First up was a low crosser and high clay simulating springing teal. Stand two saw a 'rabbit' clay followed by a low crosser on report.

The third stand consisted of a low target with an incoming 'teal' clay.

Station four featured a pair of low clays going across slowly in opposite directions.

Joint second were Julian Brown and Dale Sharman on 33 and equal third came Dennis Fowler and new member Evan Jenkins both with 32.

The next shoot at Fen Clay is on February 14.
