Audio: Spencer Weir-Daley on Boston United's 4-1 win at Durham

Saturday, March 06, 2010, 16:42

Boston United survived a first-half scare as they continued their promotion challenge with a 4-1 victory at point-less Durham City.

Spencer Weir-Daley opened the scoring with a sublime finish, but the Pilgrims were rocked when Conor Winter grabbed a deserved leveller for City.

However, to Boston's relief, Weir-Daley netted his second from close range on the brink of half-time.

Two more goals early in the second half eased the visitors' nerves. First, debutant Ryan Semple fired home before Weir-Daley completed his hat-trick with another smart finish.

Elsewhere in the division, leaders Bradford Park Avenue drew 1-1 Retford while North Ferriby lost 2-0 at home to Kendal.

Those results saw the Pilgrims move up to second, four points behind Bradford.
