Touchline ban is a possibility for Lincoln City boss Chris Sutton

Thursday, November 19, 2009, 06:30

The threat of a touch-line ban is still looming over Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton, who has yet to decided whether to admit or deny an FA charge of improper conduct.

Sutton, who was sent to the stands by referee Graham Salisbury during the Imps' 1-1 incident-packed draw with Cheltenham on Saturday, says the club will continue to discuss the matter before a decision is made.

The former Blackburn striker has until 6pm next Tuesday to either admit or deny the charge and a regulatory commission will hear the charge by or before December 11.

"The FA have put through a charge of improper conduct and, in all honesty, I have not yet decided what my next move will be," explained Sutton, who will be on the touchline to guide his team in their crucial League Two derby crunch game against Grimsby Town this weekend.

"We are still talking it through at the football club and we have until next week to make our decision."
