Steve Harris hails Lincoln Ladies display

Monday, March 15, 2010, 06:30

Steve Harris praised a complete performance from OOH Lincoln Ladies as they romped to a 3-0 victory at Preston North End yesterday.

Goals from Megan Harris, Stacey Aisthorpe and Randi Johns sealed the convincing three-point haul in the Women's Premier League Northern Division.

The scoreline could have been greater had Harris not missed a penalty, while Jodie Michalska had a 'goal' disallowed for a foul.

And assistant boss Harris, standing in for boss Rod Wilson who was dealing with a family matter, said he could not fault the players for delivering a strong all-round display.

"It would be impossible to pick out player of the match because they were all terrific," he said.

"Against Derby recently they delivered a below-par first-half performance and I told them that I wanted a strong display for the entire game.

"They took all of my words on board and went out and did a fine job against a team who had put nine past Newcastle the other week.

"I told them I was very pleased with what I saw and we are currently in a decent run of form in which we are scoring goals and not conceding many, either."
