Hello everyone,

With Mark Whiley away covering Lincolnshire's Minor Counties Grand Final in Berkshire, I'll be stepping in for the Big Match Live.

Join me as we find out if Adrian Patulea will make his debut for Lincoln City and whether the players affected by illness this week are fit to play.

Can the Imps record their first win?

I'll be online from around 2.15pm.

Hello everyone and welcome to a very wet Sincil Bank.

The sun has just broken out though and we are assured the game will be going ahead this afternoon.

I'll be back shortly with the all-important team news.

Big news here at Sincil Bank - it looks as if Peter Jackson has opted to play a 4-3-3 formation against Barnet.

Lee Beevers slots in to left-back in place of the ill Aaron Brown, but Jackson is likely to play Lee Frecklington, Stefan Oakes and Scott Kerr in the centre of midfield.

Up front, Kevin Gall and Dany N'Guessan will flank ben Wright up front.

If that changes, we'll let you know.

Romanian striker Adrian Patulea is named among the substitutes.

Team: Rob Burch, Paul Green, Lee Beevers, Frank Sinclair, Janos Kovacs, Lee Frecklington, Stefan Oakes, Scott Kerr, Dany N'Guessan, Kevin Gall, Ben Wright.
Substitutes: Ayden Duffy, Lenell John-Lewis, Danny Hone, Shane Clarke, Adrian Patulea.

I'll be back in a second with the Barnet team.

Here's the Barnet team and it contins a surprise - Ismail Yakubu is back.

Ran Kadoch, Joe Devera, Kenny Gillet, Neal Bishop, Ismail Yakubu, Max Porter, Albert Adomah, Cliff Akurang, Adam Birchall, Ashley Carew, Paul Mitchell.
Substitutes: Michael Leary, Luke Medley, Joe Tabiri, Aswad Thomas, Lee Harrison.

Hi Salford Imp, thanks for joining us - what do you make of the team news?

As for score predictions, I'm going for a 1-0 win. Wouldn't it be great if Adrian Patulea came off the bench to net the winner eh?

Not to sure about our LB, Beevers has not impressed so far this season. So he will have to play out of his skin!

By the way can you pass on to Mr Curtis that he owes my daughter £2 for her sponsorship form for bike to the bank!

He can always pay it via their web site www.biketothebank.co.uk

thanks

If he does play at left-back then he is likely to be up against Albert Adomah, who is one of the trickier players in this division. So, we'll see.

I will pass on your request for cash from Mr Curtis. He's very good at paying out for charitable causes - that's why I manage to get so much money out of him...only kidding.

My colleague today, Guy Walker, loves a bit of Bovril - he is supping it up big time at work.

I hope this is a cracking game, too. The fact there has been heavy rainfall should make the ball zip around a bit. If Stefan Oakes and Lee Frecklington can get on the ball and N'Guessan and Gall cause problems, Barnet will be in trouble.

I think this also may be a big game for Scott Kerr, who I think may have to do a great deal of defensive cover work.

One win and the Imps could be going places...

Hope they do zip the ball around to each other, not like at Wycombe
Glad you guys enjoy the bovril.

So who is going to collect the famous Bury black puddings next week and sup a pint of good JW Lees at the pub around the corner from Gigg lane? Which will be my first home match of the season!

Next week you have the delights of Mark Whiley and Chris Brammer bringing you all the action. Chris is at Boston United today to cover their UniBond League Premier Division clash today.

I think Beevers will do a good job at left back. He played there alot when he first came. Better then Brown would do. I think he has a awful start to the season. Defo his fault for Grimsby's and Rotherham's goals. I feel a bit sorry for him as think he is being played out of position. good to see a 4-3-3 formation being used as we have the players to do this. Here to a 2-1 win. UP THE IMPS.

Well, we'll see if beevers does play at left-back in just a few minutes. I can tell you it is CHUCKING IT DOWN here.

I hope you are right with the prediction. It's got to happen some time!

And we're off. Lee Beevers, as expected, starts at left-back. There is a small but vocal Barnet following and the rain has now thankfully eased off a little.

Barnet have done all the attacking so far.

Imps are definitely playing this attacking 4-3-3 formation and are having more of the play now. It'll be interesting to see how the three-pronged strike force operates.

What would be nice today, would be a win with a clean sheet! Lost count of the number of matches without a goal going in against the Imps

Stefan Oakes plays a sumptuous ball over to Lee Beevers on the left hand side but unfortunately his boots gets caught in the turf and he heads the ball out of play.

The midfield t rio of Kerr, Oakes and Frecklington keep switching positions which is clever and could pay dividends.
