Lincoln's Billy Jackson has progressed with partner David Gourlay into the quarter finals of the World Open Pairs in Norfolk.

The World Singles champion, who begins the defence of his crown next Wednesday, went through with his long-time partner after the number five seeds defeated Wales' John Price and David Axon in straight sets, 8-3, 8-6.

Jackson and Gourlay will now face Brett Wilkie and Mark Casey in the next round on Friday after they surprisingly knocked out number four seeds, Greg Harlow and Nick Brett.
