OFF THE BOTTOM

Those who made the trip to Stockport will know what a terrific performance we gave on Tuesday night.Although we needed to withstand five or ten minutes of pressure at the start of the match we went on to put on a real display of quality moving the ball quickly and creating chances along the way.In fact I did think that having gone in at half-time at 0-0 that we may have missed our chance to get into the lead. The timing of goals can sometimes prove crucial and our opener on Tuesday definately came at a good time in the match. The manager had said that if we could get our noses infront then he backed us to go on and win the match. On scoring you could visibly see the confidence in our team rise and at the same time Stockport looked looked we had taken the wind out of their sails.I did think that we got sloppy at 2-0 although the third goal form 'Lenny' was fantastic,a really confident finish.
On to Saturday then at what will be a tough match at Hereford. It's amazing how the mental side of the game works. After 2 straight league victories we now feel like we can beat anybody!

Read my views on Saturday's match some time next week.

Finally, can I draw your attention to the fact that my new website:
